Express Yourself: The Art of Storytelling & Breaking the Mold with Rajiv Nathan

The Guest

My guest this week is Rajiv Nathan, a Indian-American rapper, yoga teacher, pitch consultant, and storyteller… not necessarily in that order.

Rajiv is the founder of RajNATION Innovation. He removes the “suck” out of storytelling through his knowledge, experience, and proven success in storytelling, pitching, and sales messaging.

Through his company he has helped startups and/or sales teams tell their story better - deliver compelling, authentic messages, and Make Your Pitch A Performance, all to raise capital, win more customers and drive sales.

The Episode

Today, Rajiv Nathan and I talk about how to be multi-passionate; allowing yourself to have many interests and skills, while not spreading yourself too thin.

Growing confidence in becoming yourself, growing your influence, and doing what you really want to pursue in life.

Raj and I start off with some deep conversation about becoming the people we want to be, and his journey through adversity - pursuing his passions in a world where Indian Americans became doctors, not rappers.

We also have the college vs. no college debate, and I ask him whether he got more benefit out of his university education or from his yoga teacher training, or last startup venture that didn’t work out.

I encourage all readers and listeners to live long lives and careers, be multi-passionate and pursue many things you love.

Topics Covered

  • What is multi-passionate
  • Expression through storytelling
  • How to discover your own form of self expression
  • Building a high resilience profile
  • How to build confidence through adversity
  • Breaking down your comfort zone step by step
  • University education versus real world education
