Arrival in Barcelona

- Meet up at Barcelona El Prat International Airport (BCN) at 3:00 p.m. Your Trip Leader will greet you and take you to your hotel in Barcelona's city center with your new group of friends.
- After checking in, explore one of Barcelona’s trendy neighborhoods on an orientation walk with your Trip Leader.
Evening
- Enjoy some delicious Spanish cuisine during the opening dinner.
- Get to know the other like-minded travelers on the trip and start feeling at home in Spain.
Day 2
Best of Barcelona
Morning
- Breakfast will be served at your accommodation.
- Go on a guided city walking tour with your Trip Leader through Barcelona. Exploring iconic spots Passeig de Grà cia and Las Ramblas. Visit Plaça Catalunya, known for its beautiful fountains, and savor the vibrant atmosphere of La Boqueria Market, filled with colorful stalls and local delicacies. Discover hidden gems and learn about the city's rich history along the way.
Afternoon
- Lunch is not included on this day, but your Trip Leader will bring you to Passeig de GrĂ cia with plenty of dining options.
- Rejoin the group for a guided tour of La Sagrada FamĂlia, Antoni GaudĂ’s breathtaking architectural masterpiece. Marvel at its soaring towers, intricate details, and stunning stained glass while absorbing the rich history and artistic vision that make this building truly extraordinary.
- Depending on the time spent at La Sagrada FamĂlia, you may have some free time to continue exploring more of Barcelona on your own.
Evening
- Dinner is not included tonight, but your Trip Leader will recommend some great local spots to try.
- Check out the non-stop nightlife that will make your stay in Barcelona unforgettable.Â
- Explore Barcelona's nightlife hotspots like the Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòthic), El Raval, or Port OlĂmpic.
Day 3
History and Tapas
Morning
- Breakfast will be served at your accommodation, or you can venture to one of the nearby cafés for something different.
- Your Trip Leader will guide you on a walking tour through some of the medieval and trendy neighborhoods. You’ll wander through the charming alleyways of the Gothic Quarter, where history seems to breathe from the ancient stone buildings. Then, you’ll stroll through the stylish streets of Born, filled with boutiques and cafes, before heading towards the sun-kissed shores of La Barceloneta, where the sea breeze beckons.
Afternoon
- Have lunch at a local restaurant to try a variety of tapas and learn more about the Catalonian cuisine in this region.
- After lunch, you’ll depart Barcelona and travel north to the city of Girona, one of the most trendy cities in Spain. (1-hour 30 minute drive)
- Join a captivating walking tour through Girona's historic town center, where ancient Roman walls tell tales of the past. Wander through the enchanting Old Jewish Quarter, filled with narrow alleys and hidden squares.Â
- Don't miss crossing the iconic Onyar River via the Eiffel Bridge, designed by Gustave Eiffel the creator of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This striking structure offers beautiful views of the vibrant riverside buildings, blending history and modern engineering in a remarkable way.
Evening
- Arrive at your farmhouse accommodation located in the countryside outside of Girona.
- This unique farmhouse, designed to blend into its natural surroundings will be your home base for the next four nights.Â
- Enjoy your first farm-to-table dinner, perhaps with a glass of wine, and embrace the peacefulness of the Spanish countryside.
Day 4
Slow Travel: Girona Farmstay Day
Morning
- Start your day with a healthy, organic breakfast made with produce picked right from the farmhouse’s gardens.
- Today you will have the opportunity to rest, relax, and learn about sustainable practices from the farm. You can explore the trails around the property, participate in farming activities, and learn about the produce that is harvested for your daily meals.
Afternoon
- This afternoon, relax at the natural swimming pond that offers great benefits for your skin by moisturizing it and connecting you with nature. You can also practice yoga, experience a hammam spa, play table tennis, or receive a massage.
- If you're interested in returning to Girona to explore more sites and attractions, or if you'd like to dine at one of the restaurants in town, we can arrange this for an additional cost. (45-minute taxi)Â
Evening
- Gather back together with your newfound friends for dinner at the farmhouse.
- After dinner, opt to hang out together on the outdoor patio and continue getting to know one another.
Day 5
Pyrenees & Track Railway Adventure
Morning
- After breakfast at the accommodation, you take private transportation to drive to Queralbs, a traditional small town in the Pyrenees. (1-hour 30 minutes)‍
- Your adventure begins as you travel inland through the captivating landscapes of Catalonia, arriving at the charming village of Queralbs.Â
- After exploring its beauty, board a scenic train for a 20-minute ride that will whisk you up to Nuria, a stunning viewpoint in the Ribes Valley. As the train winds through the mountains, vibrant green valleys and towering peaks come into view. Keep your camera ready, as this scenic journey promises to be a highlight, offering breathtaking landscapes at every turn.
Afternoon
- Upon arriving in Nuria, take some time to explore the town, visit the church, and enjoy the breathtaking views.
- You will have a picnic-style lunch by the lake, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature (lunch is included). After lunch, enjoy some free time exploring the area further and enjoy the views of the Pyrenees mountains.
- Afterward, board the train for your journey back to Queralbs, followed by private transportation back to the farmhouse.
Evening
- As a group, gather for your final dinner in Spain and reflect upon your experiences over the past week.
Day 6
Costa Brava
‍Morning
- Your healthy, organic breakfast will be served at the accommodation again this morning.
- After breakfast, you’ll travel privately to Costa Brava, a northeastern coastal region of Catalonia famous for its beautiful beaches, artistic architecture, and pleasant Mediterranean climate.
- Visit Pals, a charming medieval village on a hilltop. Walk through its cobblestone streets, admire the well-preserved architecture, and enjoy the scenic countryside views, soaking in the area's rich history.
Afternoon
- Choose a restaurant in Calella de Palafrugell for lunch. While this meal isn't included, your Trip Leader will recommend some local favorites.
- After eating, explore the picturesque fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell along the stunning coastline. Stroll along the scenic promenade, taking in sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. Savor regional flavors at cozy local cafes, sampling fresh seafood and traditional dishes. When ready to relax, find a spot on the sandy beach to unwind, soak up the sun, and listen to the gentle waves.
Evening
- Return to the farmhouse to shower and relax before enjoying another tasty dinner.
- As with previous nights, you may relax at the farmhouse or turn in early after a full day of exploring.
Day 7
Return to Barcelona and Depart
Morning
- Pack up your belongings, as this is your last morning at the farmhouse.
- Feast on one last farm-to-table breakfast and thank the team for hosting you these past few days.
- Take private transportation back to Barcelona El Prat International Airport (BCN). (1-hour 30 minute drive)
- Arrive at the airport at 12:00 pm. and say 'see you later' (never goodbye!) to your new friends.
- If you’re staying longer, ask your Trip Leader for recommendations on additional activities and sights in Barcelona or elsewhere in the region.
