Trip Overview

Day 1

Arrival in Croatia

Welcome to Croatia! Take included transportation with your new friends to our first stop--the vibrant port city of Split!

Find yourself in the economic and cultural center of the Dalmatian Coast. This Mediterranean city’s small-town vibe and laid-back locals have made it one of Europe's hottest destinations.

Enjoy opening dinner with your new friends at a local restaurant as you enter Croatian culture.

Day 2

Split

Venture out with a walking tour through Diocletian’s Palace to learn about Split’s rich history that dates back over a thousand years.

Romans, Illyrians, and Slavic cultures all left a mark on Split, and the final product is today's fusion of different architecture that gives this city a unique look.

In the afternoon, be welcomed into a local family’s house and learn how to make soparnik, a traditional Croatian dish, from scratch. Discover the customs and traditions of Croatian life as you share stories with the family.

Day 3

Adriatic Island Hopping

Hop on board a boat for a private tour of the Adriatic islands of Brač, Hvar and Šolta. Today will be an adventure at sea complete with swimming, snorkeling, and visiting beautiful beaches!

Experience the postcard-worthy Golden Horn Beach, one of Croatia's most iconic beaches. Stop on the island of Hvar for lunch and check out the historic landmarks while dining on Mediterranean cuisine.

Experience the town of Split as you please with a free evening of leisure.

Day 4

Korcula

After breakfast, get ready to explore another island! Today, you will travel by ferry to the island known as the Emerald Isle, Korcula.

Take to the streets with your Trip Leader and get to know the medieval Old Town. View the Venetian-styled buildings with red rooftops, and check out Saint Mark’s Cathedral, a stunning Gothic-Renaissance-style church.

In the afternoon, visit the tiny village of Pupant. Pupant is home to one of the last remaining traditional family restaurants in Korcula. Tonight, you will enjoy an authentic meal and have an opportunity to taste homemade wine!

Day 5

Vineyards of Lumbarda

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then head over to the small coastal village of Lumbarda, the oldest settlement on Korcula.

Visit a local winery that produces wine originally cultivated by the Greeks. Afterward, explore this small fishing village by taking a walk to Przine Bay, home to one of the only sandy beaches on the Adriatic Coast.

Return to Korcula and enjoy a free evening to discover this island paradise. We suggest indulging in a seafood meal fresh from the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 6

Journey to Dubrovnik

Say goodbye to the islands and head to the mainland. Cruise across the Peljesac Peninsula and begin your journey to Dubrovnik, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world.

Stop in the town of Stona, famous for the 2nd longest consecutive walls in Europe, totaling over 4 miles in length and dating back to the 14th century. Sample a variety of oysters that are farmed right in the bay.

Arrive in Dubrovnik, and after a short rest, join your Trip Leader for an orientation walk through this ancient city!

Day 7

Dubrovnik Explorations

Today is a free day to explore Dubrovnik on your own. Admire the mesmerizing medieval architecture of historic sites such as the St. Blaise Church and Renaissance Sponza Palace. Opt to take the cable car to Mt. Srd to enjoy spectacular panoramic views.

Walk along the paved limestone streets and hidden alleyways of Dubrovnik’s old town which is enclosed by the ancient city walls. Completed in the 13th century, it has remained virtually unchanged to the present day. Therefore, walking around feels like stepping back in time!

Gather together with your group for a final farewell dinner and reflect on your adventures through Croatia.

Day 8

Relax & Depart Croatia

On the final day, wake up early and soak in the magic of Croatia.

Say goodbye to your new friends and depart at any time. You can get instructions from your Trip Leader on how to take taxis, buses, or local transportation to the airport.

Ask your Trip Leader for suggestions if you choose to spend more time in Dubrovnik.

U30X Trip Reviews

"Had an amazing experience in Croatia with trip guide Robert! We did many fun activities and the boat day off of Hvar was my favorite activity! Robert was an excellent guide and he made the trip very fun and relaxing. I learned a lot about the Croatian culture from him. My only critique would be more time in Dubrovnik. We only had one night there and arrived in the middle of the afternoon. Could have skipped the oyster tasting to get more time there. Or perhaps only one night in Hvar so we could get another night in Dubrovnik. Overall great experience!" -Nicole L.

"It is great for people that want to travel at an affordable rate and want to travel with others rather than do the solo thing! It also allows for you to take very minimal time off of work since most trips are over the weekend! I can't recommend this company enough. :) It's an amazing community to be a part of." -Brooke T.

"I have had the pleasure of traveling with U30X as well as 030X and I can't recommend it enough. If you are on the fence, just do it! It's such an amazing experience to travel with like-minded people from all walks of life that want to just enjoy another culture and country. This company makes travel so simple and you get an experience with a local that you can't easily get on your own. I love traveling on my own as well but sometimes being able to "just go" and not having to think, is a perk in itself. Special shout out to Frano (Croatia - U30X) and Youssef (Morroco - O30X) for being AMAZING trip leaders. Those leaders left me with memories and experiences that I will never forget. I appreciate both of them for showing me their beautiful countries. I look forward to many more experiences and new memories in future trips." -Caitlin O.
