Travel Insurance Requirements for Under30Experiences Trips

‍Is travel insurance required?

Yes. Travel insurance is required for all Under30Experiences trips.

All travelers must carry a policy that includes at least $200,000 USD in combined medical coverage, including:

• Medical expenses
• Emergency evacuation
• Repatriation

This coverage must remain active for the full duration of your trip.

We require this minimum to ensure that every traveler is protected in the event of a medical emergency abroad.

Why do you require insurance?

International travel comes with unpredictability. While serious incidents are rare, medical evacuation or hospital stays abroad can be extremely expensive.

Requiring insurance ensures:

• You are financially protected
• Emergency care decisions are not delayed
• Support services can act quickly if needed

It’s one of the ways we operate responsibly as a tour company.

What else should I consider adding?

While only medical, evacuation, and repatriation coverage are required, we strongly recommend your policy also includes:

• Trip cancellation
• Trip interruption
• Personal liability
• Lost or delayed baggage

These protections are optional but can provide additional peace of mind.

We also strongly recommend purchasing cancellation coverage at the time of booking.

Important: Activity Coverage

Some insurance policies exclude certain “high-risk” activities.

It is your responsibility to confirm that your policy covers the activities included in your trip.

For example, our Thailand itinerary includes rock climbing, which is not covered under some basic plans.

Please review your policy carefully before departure.
