Galapagos: A Year in the Making
The Galapagos Islands have so much of what we love here at U30X: wildlife, nature, and adventure that you literally cannot find anywhere else on the planet.
We’ve been actively working to bring our travelers to this unique part of the world for over a year.
It was worth it.
We've built an epic itinerary in a responsible way that not only respects the islands but will be an unforgettable experience you will love. Here’s why you should visit this surreal place with Under30Experiences.
Galapagos Island Hopping
The Galapagos are an archipelago of volcanic islands right along the equator.
You’ll be island hopping through this famous archipelago and have the opportunity to visit four different islands -- Baltra, Santa Cruz, Isabela, and an uninhabited island.
Each island we visit will have a different “personality” where you’ll be able to experience different kinds of animals, plants, landscapes, and activities.
By the end of the trip you’ll walk away with a marvelous experience filled with the best parts of the Galapagos.
Enjoy an Exclusive Sustainability Experience
We've heard your concerns about visiting this fragile ecosystem in a responsible way. That said, we’ve worked hard to bring our travelers to these islands properly while still delivering a life-changing experience.
One of the activities we’re most excited about is a U30X exclusive that isn't being offered anywhere else!
On our first day on the islands, we’ll be spending time with local high-school students who are committed to preserving the fragile Galapagos ecosystem.
We’ll learn about how these students are collecting plastic waste, using renewable energy in creative ways, and reusing trash to protect the environment. These students also protect the sea turtle nesting grounds throughout the Galapagos.
Throughout the rest of the trip, you'll be able to see these students' contributions first hand in the different locations that we visit!
The most rewarding part of the experience will be that we can help be part of the solution to protect this fragile ecosystem rather than turn a blind eye to the issues.
Work with Locals
Here at Under30Experiences, we do our best to keep the money in the local economy so we can contribute to making the most positive impact in the places we visit.
In the Galapagos, each of the hotels that we’ll be staying in will be owned and operated by local Ecuadorians.
We’ll also be eating at Ecuadorian owned restaurants. Not only that, we’ve also been able to find a few gems on these islands, off the beaten path, where local residents typically eat.
We strive for authenticity on our trips and we’ve kept that at the front of our minds while designing this experience.
Visit Historic Quito, Ecuador
The Galapagos are only one small part of the incredible wonders available in Ecuador. Not only will we be taking you to this famous and remote corner of our planet, we’ll also show you Ecuador’s capital city which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Quito boasts the least altered historic center in Latin America. It’s a huge city nestled in the middle of the Andes, surrounded by stunning mountains and volcanoes.
We'll spend a day with a local Ecuadorian guide learning about the history of this well preserved city in South America.
Maximize Your Time Off
The Galapagos are part of a Spanish speaking country isolated from the world by 600 miles of ocean. Naturally, this makes it a challenging destination to visit.
Some of our favorite feedback about our trip comes when our travelers tell us that they didn’t have to stress or think about anything except having a good time on our trips.
This is exactly what we’re striving for with our experience to the Galapagos. Instead of wasting your hard earned vacation time worrying about ferry times, local flights, and how to best optimize your limited time, we’ve organized the best activities for your the time we have on the islands.
All you have to do is show up, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Join an Awesome Travel Community
At the end of the day what makes Under30Experiences different is our community. Whether you're coming with friends or as a solo traveler, you'll feel welcomed from the moment you step off the plane.
We have the best travelers who typically come in as strangers and more often than not leave as family.
We look forward to having you on board!
