We live in the age of information.
It's a blessing and a curse. While on one hand we have access to a seemingly unfathomable amount of information right in our pocket and can connect instantly to people around the world, we often become distracted and disconnected to nature, and even ourselves.

One of the great things about living in the age of information is the ability to quantify nearly everything.
Including happiness.
For a detailed explanation on how travel really affects happiness, check out our previous article, The Science of Travel and Happiness.
Studies have been conducted on levels of happiness after investing money on things versus money invested in experiences. Although the results may not surprise you (experiences are a much better investment), it's important to really internalize this concept when making day to day decisions.
We should be basing our lives around curating the greatest experiences; not purchasing the greatest things.

P.S. Make sure you check out adventure trips by Under30Experiences. Not only do they make travel affordable to young adults, they go to some of the coolest places in the world and curate some of the most adventurous and experiential trips.
