Take in the views of Ubud’s hilly jungle landscapes of green rice fields and palm trees. Wander the town and discover its many art shops, museums, and boutique shops. Not feeling up to exploring the town? Relax in the pool at the accommodation to help ease that jetlag.

Get to know your new friends while enjoying some delicious Balinese cuisine and begin to settle into your new surroundings.

Day 2

Ubud Explorations

Begin your day with a tour of the Ubud Palace, home to unique carvings and gorgeous courtyards. Today, it still serves as the family seat of the Ubud Royal Family.

Explore the Sangeh Monkey Forest. This rainforest is a peaceful refuge for a vibrant community of monkeys, which you can observe in their natural habitat.

Enjoy lunch overlooking the beautiful Tegalalang Rice Terrace, and take a photo on the Bali Swing. Afterward, visit Gunung Kawi Sebatu, a temple built in the 11th century dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu God of Water.

Day 3

Experience Balinese Culture

There is no better way to immerse yourself in Bali than spending time with locals. Today, you will learn about Balinese culture from a local host family.

Your hosts will walk you through Ubud’s Ganyar traditional market, where you will buy fresh produce for your cooking demonstration.

Be welcomed into a Balinese family home to understand the unique architecture and how homes are designed to pay respect to ancestors and the Balinese gods. Participate in a craft workshop to learn how to make a traditional offering.

In the afternoon, walk to the village’s holy waters and participate in a private purification ceremony.

Day 4

Mount Batur Sunrise Hike

Wake up at 2:00 am and gear up for a memorable experience. Today, you are hiking to the top of a volcano to watch the sunrise! We promise it will be worth it.

Begin your 5.5 mile (9 kilometer) hike in the dark, up Mount Batur, taking most travelers two or three hours to complete.

Take in the spectacular views of the surrounding valleys with a hot cup of Balinese coffee while giving yourself gratitude for completing this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In the afternoon, explore Ubud with optional activities ranging from visiting a local waterfall to pampering yourself with a spa or simply exploring the numerous art galleries and boutique craft shops downtown.

Day 5

Gili Islands Getaway

Say goodbye to Ubud and begin your journey to the Gili Islands, an archipelago of three small coral isles known for their powdery white sand beaches and crystal clear waters.

Arrive at Gili Trawangan, your base for the next two nights, and take a day off at the beach. Relax by bathing in the sun and dipping in the fresh waters of the Bali Sea while sipping on freshly cut coconut.

Join your friends for a beachfront barbecue dinner of grilled meats and locally sourced seafood. Welcome to heaven!

Day 6

Snorkeling the Gili Islands

Explore the Gili Islands on a traditional wooden Balinese boat with a glass floor.

Snorkel and swim among tropical coral gardens and visit an underwater Buddha statue. If you are lucky, you may encounter sea turtles that call the Gili Islands home.

After a full day of swimming and exploring the islands, return to Gili Trawangan for a free evening to relax or perhaps dance at a beach party.

Day 7

SUP Yoga & Sanur

For those early risers, head to the beach for a morning standup paddleboard session and yoga class. Rejuvenate your body and appreciate the calmness of the morning on this tropical island.

Spend your last few hours on the Gili islands as you please before taking a ferry back to the larger island of Bali.

U30X Trip Reviews

"I took the Bali Trip this month and it was truly one of the best experience I've ever had! Lindsey was an amazing group leader with a lot of energy and excitement. This trip had the perfect combination of having scheduled activities and free time to roam the country. I definitely look forward to attending another U30 experience trip in the future!" -Mario L.

"Under30Experiences has been such an incredible life changing experience! There's so many positive things about this fantastic group of people. That said, I've love to travel but it's not easy finding people to join you internationally. Under30Experiences has allowed me to fulfill my wanderlust by having an array of destinations you can go and you'll meet like minded people from around the country that accompany you on these trips. The trip leaders are fantastic as well, truely the most caring and unforgettable people. The trips are very safe, organized and packed full of adventure from the time you step off the plan until departure. I've already been to Bali and Colombia and I'm excited for Peru, France and Iceland this year with the group. Additionally, what's nice about these trips, is you do them in just a few days if you don't have a lot of vaca and over a holiday. Definitely recommend Under30Experiences to anyone who loves to travel and needs great people to experience it with." -Ashley h.

"I booked the Bali trip with no expectations, and I came out with priceless memories. Our U30x guide Lindsey and local guide Angga led an unforgettable trip. We were culturally immersed as if we were one of the Balinese locals. The village welcomed us with open arms. Our group, the activities, and the local cuisine were all amazing. If you love culture, travelling off the beaten path, being active, and sharing memories with cool people, this U30x trip is for you!" -R.
