Get to know your new friends while enjoying some delicious Portuguese cuisine and begin to settle into your new surroundings!

Day 2

Sintra

Drive to Sintra, a charming municipality on the Portuguese Riviera best known for its beautiful palaces and natural beauty. Walk the gardens of Quinta da Regaleira.

In the afternoon, hike to the 10th-century Moorish castle, Castelo dos Mouros. Constructed on an exposed rocky outcrop, you’ll see spectacular views of the palace-dotted hills of Sintra.

Replenish your energy with a stop at a local bakery to try two of Sintra’s famous pastries, queijada and travesseiro! Upon returning to Lisbon, enjoy a free evening.

Day 3

Evora

Travel to the heart of Alentejo, Evora. Explore the historic center, which dates back to Roman times and has housed several kings of Portugal.

Go on a guided walking tour to learn about medieval architecture. Visit two of Evora’s most popular attractions, the Bones Chapel and the Cathedral.

Gather with your group for dinner to taste the delicious cuisine of the Alentejo region! Be sure to try some of the world-renowned wines.

Day 4

Wine Tasting and Lagos

Enjoy a peaceful morning in Evora, and then get ready to taste some of Alentejo’s famous wines at a local winery in the countryside. Your visit will include a traditional Alentejo lunch.

The next stop is Lagos, a charming town in Portugal’s Algarve region. Lagos boasts a rich maritime heritage, and pristine beaches and is full of character. It’s no wonder it's one of Portugal’s top destinations.

This evening, you’ll have free time to soak in the culture of Lagos, explore the historical sites of the Old Town, and, if you are feeling up to it, experience the vibrant nightlife.

U30X Trip Reviews

"My trips with U30X are the best part of my year, scratch that, of my life! It’s amazing how a handful of solo travelers can become a group of close friends in a short period of time! This company prioritizes local experiences and sustainability. I can book assured that my traveling will only positively impact the local community. Local guides share their perspectives and expertise, but beyond that, they become friends as well. It’s not rare to keep in touch after the trip. If you’re on the fence, go for it. I’ve never regretted booking an Under30. My most recent was Portugal and it may be my favorite yet!!" -Jessie M.

There are not enough ways for me to describe how amazing this company is. After my first trip I always told people, it wasn't about the location, but the experience that u30x gave me. I have some of the best experiences of my life with u30x, and now a passion for travel. Also, their alumni community and groups are awesome too! -Casey H.

U30X is such an amazing travel community. Once your trip is over, the experience is not. They keep in touch with their alumni & provide platforms for travel questions, personal development, & community connections in your own backyard! If you're a young person looking to travel I highly recommend U30X! -Heather T.
