One of the most common questions we get asked is,“What is your best trip?”. This is an impossible question to answer, but we try our best. It depends on many personal factors like budget, adventure type, time of year, etc. However, our travelers vote by booking certain trip destinations far more annually than others. 

When we get asked about our best trips, we often respond with our most popular. We have seen well over 1,000 bookings for 2024 trip destinations, and here are what our travelers are saying are the “best” in 2024. 

The Top Trip Destinations for 2024

Thailand

Southeast Asia is on many people's bucket lists, and Thailand is one of the top destinations to start within the region. This trip visits spots like Bangkok, Chang Mai, and Krabi. It’s both affordable and action-packed. We often tell travelers that this trip will push them out of their comfort zone if they haven’t traveled much before. It can be a real culture shock, but that is also what makes it a great group trip; you won’t be the only one! 

A highlight of this trip that is popular with our travelers is our partnership with the Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai. 

• Fun fact about Thailand: About 95% of Thai people are Buddhist, and there are over 35,000 temples in the country.

Machu Picchu & Peru

Who doesn’t want to visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World? Peru is consistently at the top of most travelers' lists. Peru can be one of the more challenging trips. You start in Cusco at over 11,000 feet (3400 meters), where you need to acclimate to the altitude. On the last day, you have an option to hike to the Rainbow Mountains at over 16,000 feet!

Prague, Vienna, and Budapest

A surprise top 3 trip going into 2024. We just launched this multi-country trip in early 2023 and were unsure what to expect. An immediate realization was that we needed more Christmas Market dates! This is a unique experience only available during the holiday season each year. 

Don’t sleep on the rest of the year to visit this region. The summers are beautiful and allow for more time strolling and exploring these historic cities. 

• Fun fact about Prague: Locals consume more beer per capita than anywhere else (in the world!). Prost!

Costa Rica

This is our most booked trip of all time. Beautiful beaches, unique wildlife, surfing, adventure, all under $1000! It’s not a mystery why this trip is so popular every year. Fun fact: my co-founder, Matt Wilson, lived in Costa Rica for 5 years and designed this trip himself. At one point, the majority of our staff lived on the beach in Costa Rica!

Iceland

Where it all started for Under30Experiences. Iceland was our very first destination back in 2012, and it’s still as popular as ever. The itinerary has barely changed, and the experience is still amazing for adventure seekers. 

Travelers to Iceland get to pick between two distinct seasons for their trip. You can either see the midnight sun in the spring or take your shot at spotting the northern lights in the fall.
